Through my photography, I'm interested in capturing honest, telling and engaging pictures of our world. I’m endlessly fascinated by how people from diverse walks of life interpret their own place in the universe and how they interact with those around them. The ways they might exploit their gifts, or not. How external forces might shape their outlook and thoughts - and what gives their lives meaning. I’m especially interested in exploring areas of common ground, where, despite the disparate histories people may have, discovering intersections where hopes and concerns are shared. I do consider photography to be an art form as well, and I’m drawn to the potential of rendering life’s interactions in visually engaging ways that resonate on both visceral and aesthetic levels.

As a staff photographer with the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin USA, my editorial work has appeared in a wide variety of media outlets, and my art photography has been included in juried exhibits at the Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Charles Wustum Museum of Fine Art in Racine, Wisconsin, and the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado.
